The SGM7220DRP is a configuration channel logic and port control device applied in USB Type-C interfaces. The single power supply range is from 2.7V to 5V. The SGM7220DRP is active low and enters low power mode when the EN pin is pulled to high.

The SGM7220DRP can be configured as a downstream facing port (DFP), an upstream facing port (UFP) or a dual role port (DRP) based on the Type-C specifications. Besides, it can support attachment detection, cable orientation detection, role detection, current mode detection and V_BUS voltage detection. The V_BUS detection is used to confirm whether the V_BUS voltage is normal when the SGM7220DRP is used as a UFP or DRP.

The SGM7220DRP contains a CC logic monitor block, which is used to monitor the voltage of CC1 and CC2. The SGM7220DRP advertises the Type-C current (default, medium or high) according to the CC logic monitor.

The SGM7220DRP is available in a Green UTQFN- 1.6×1.6-12L package. It operates in industrial and commercial temperature range of -40℃ to +125℃.
