Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive 94/62/EC and its supplementary Directive 2004/12/EC
Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive 94/62/EC and its supplementary Directive 2004/12/EC were published on December 31, 1994 and February 11, 2004. The directive requires the sum of heavy metal contents such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg) and hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) in packaging can't exceed 100ppm.
TPCH (The Toxics in Packaging Clearinghouse) of USA
The US packaging regulation TPCH, issued on February 16, 2021, requires the concentration of heavy metals which includes lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) in packaging can't exceed 100ppm; The total concentration of phthalates can't exceed 100ppm; PFAS substances are prohibited to use(N.D).
